The midsole is the cushioned part of a shoe located between the footbed (the inner part of the shoe) and the outsole (the bottom of the shoe). It is designed to provide support and comfort for the wearer, often constructed of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), PU (polyurethane), or combinations of materials that absorb impact and offer cushioning.
