Padparadscha Definition

A rare and valuable type of gemstone, specifically a colored gem with a pinkish orange hue. It is named after a lotus flower in its original language, Tamil, which also gives the stone its distinctive color. Padparadschas are derived mainly from Sri Lanka but are also found in Myanmar.
